About the journal

Forum for Nordic Dermato-Venereology is the official journal of the Nordic dermatology associations.

The journal was initiated in 1996 by Professor Lennart Juhlin, Uppsala, Sweden.

The Forum for Nordic Dermato-Venereology is a non-profit publication owned by the Society for Publication of Acta Dermato-Venereologica which nominates the Editor-in-Chief. National editors from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden are appointed by their national societies of Dermato-Venereology. Both the editing and the content of the journal are independent of financial and political interests. Printing and distribution costs are defrayed by membership fees and advertisements.

The journal is an open forum for debate and the exchange of news and professional knowledge among clinical dermato-venereologists in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. The publication covers the most recent aspects of clinical practice, education, economy, policy and also topical information about forthcoming or ongoing research projects relevant for practice.

Journal contents are arranged as editorial comments, guest contributions, new and historical notes about dermatology and venereology in the Nordic countries, study and therapy news, a reader's column for comments, questions and answers, abstracts from academic dissertations, reports from meetings. Announcements of recent dermatologists' positions and other advertisements are also accepted. Official information and notes from the Nordic dermatological societies to their members is printed routinely.

Academic thesis could be published as supplement to the Forum for Nordic Dermato-Venereology at the authors' own expense.
